Chloe Lane was a 2021 Grimshaw Sargeson Fellow. She earned her MFA in Fiction from the University of Florida, where she has also taught. Her debut novel, The Swimmers (VUP 2020; Gallic Books 2022), was longlisted for the Jann Medlicott Acorn Prize for Fiction at the 2021 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards. She currently lives in Ōtautahi where she is a teacher at Hagley Writers’ Institute. She occasionally writes about art too.
