Description:

The Kāpiti Writers’ Retreat is held at Elm Lodge, one of the complexes at El Rancho, a large camp situated on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast. The tree-lined grounds curve along the Waikanae river and the centre is within walking distance of Waikanae Beach and the Waikanae Beach village shops.

Elm Lodge has ramps and accessible toilets throughout the complex. There is parking on all sides of the complex to assist anyone with difficulties walking long distances. The dining area is about 200 m away and there is parking available there, should you need to drive between the two sites.

Meals are provided by Writers Practice and El Rancho. Please provide your dietary requirements when you register and these will be catered for wherever possible. Unfortunately, El Rancho is only able to cater for vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free diets.

Wi-Fi cards are available to purchase from the El Rancho office.

El Rancho is a drug and alcohol-free environment.

If you have any other needs you can mention these in the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate these.
